Senior-Level Engineering Technician
Existing DoD Secret security clearance
Active or Interim Secret security clearance
A high school diploma, GED equivalent, or a relevant U.S. Navy technical school diploma
At least ten (10) years of relevant electrical experience within the last fifteen (15) years in the operation, repair, maintenance and assessment of U.S. Naval Air and Surface Search Radars & Electronic Navigation Systems to include but not limited to:
Air Search Radars (AN/SPS-49, AN/SPS-73, AN/SPS-48G, TACAN)
Surface Search Radars (AN/SPS-67, AN/SPS-73(V)12, AN/SPS-55)
Navigation Equipment (WSN 7/7A/7B Gyrocompasses, Digital Electromagnetic Log (DEML/WSN-8), Digital Hybrid Speed Log (DYHSL/WSN-9), Digital Magnetic Flux Gate Compass)
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes and reporting methods for visits
Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment
Demonstrate ability for interpreting wiring diagrams and control schematics
Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes
Demonstrate an ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics and plans and the ability as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot, analyze and provide distance support for listed equipment
Proficient with common productivity software
Strong communication skills
Travel: Up to 10% travel is anticipated
Location: Full Time onsite at Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) in Mayport, FL
Existing Secret Security Clearance Required
This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance
