High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical skills required
Manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience
Ability to work independently in a timely manner
Occasional heavy lifting of 50 pounds, routine lifting of items up to 50 pounds
Continuous standing, walking, and bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching, for 12 hr. shifts
Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Withstand occasional exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, odors, and dust
Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined spaces
Acquire a license to operate Sit-down Fork lift, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts
Demonstrate ability to learn plumbing and pipe fitting.
Demonstrate ability to learn basic welding of plastics and metals.
Demonstrate ability to learn basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Must be able to communicate in simple English to receive instructions, interact with supervisor, and understand repair manuals and work orders.
Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and perform team responsibilities
Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position, and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed. The training shall consist of a review of proper management of hazardous waste, satellite accumulation containers, how to review and prepare a hazardous waste manifest, and proper labeling requirements.
