2 years of documented TIG/MIG welding work experience or an associate degree in Welding Technology from an accredited institution
Certification and/or periodic recertification is required
Must be able to work frequently from drawings and blueprints and use measuring devices for close tolerance work
Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands
Must be able to maintain written reports & records within 90 days from starting
Must be able to use basic trigonometry & mathematics in the layout of very complex cans
Must be able to use micrometers, calipers, scales, & indicators in making critical measurements to close tolerances
Must be experienced with TIG/MIG welding techniques involving thin gauge sheet metal, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, structural welding, or pressure vessel welding
Must be able to fabricate gas rings for atomization
Welder operator must be able to certify his/her welds through, welding cans, loading with Beryllium powder, pass hip consolidation, and TIP test to certify
Must possess basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office products and email
Must demonstrate mechanical ability
Must have good verbal and written skills
Must have knowledge of basic math skills
Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to provide customer service
