Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Ability to understand and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material, assembly schematics, shop travelers, & work instructions.
Basic understanding of electronic & mechanical components.
Basic understanding of printed circuit boards (PCB's).
Ability to populate / rework circuit boards with SMT components, thru-hole components, press fit components, install odd form components (connectors, heatsinks, hardware, etc.), routing & staking of wires.
Experience with soldering irons, hot air, hot tweezers, hot plates, solder pots.
Experience with hand assembly tools such as tweezers, lead forming tools such as pliers & cutters, analog & digital calipers.
Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
Must be able to support multiple projects or tasks with changing priorities.
Must have good communications skills and the ability to effectively report progress/problems to the appropriate personnel.
Basic skills in Microsoft Office software products
J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies, CIS).
IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies, CIS).
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Proficiently utilizes computer systems for data access。
Must be able to work full time on site at Severn.
US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Active secret security clearance.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret.
