High school diploma (or equivalent) or current enrollment in secondary school
Must be able to read and follow a recipe, unsupervised
Requires familiarity with kitchen equipment
Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
Working knowledge of food preparation
Ability to handle constructive criticism and accept feedback from residents regarding food concerns
Well-versed knowledge of all kitchen positions, tasks, and duties
High leadership skills
Basic math and computer skills
Works well independently, with little guidance
Ability to work with and serve various people is required, high-risk populations included
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
High levels of dependability and responsibility
Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
A ServeSafe license is preferred
