Equivalency for Associates of Science degree is established by meeting the criteria below:
43 credit hours of post secondary education of which 75% (at least 8 courses or 32 hours) is advanced math, physics, chemistry and/ or engineering/engineering technology. Transcripts will be required to verify coursework.
OR Documented training and experience applicable to power generation operating experience while a member of the Nuclear Navy Program.
Must pass a pre-employment POSS and BMST test

Strong knowledge of welding symbols and diagrams, and inspection tools.
Highly proficient in reading blueprints and other printed instructional material.
Basic Math & Geometry/Trigonometry.
Familiar with variety of weld processes: Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Sub Arc Welding (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Ability to perform and document inspection activities during fabrication and welding of structural piece members.

Minimum of seven years related experience and/or training in steel fabrication; or an equivalent combination of higher education and experience in the steel fabrication industry or closely related fields.

Associate degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, physics or other associated discipline, or equivalent military experience.
Minimum of three years' experience working in metrology or process controls and calibration.
Demonstrated aptitude in calibrations or basic engineering principles.
