One-year experience in the social work and addictions field and/or behavioral health and criminal justice setting required.
A bachelor's degree in a health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, CPRS, with at least 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental illness, special populations with co-occurring and dual diagnoses preferred.
Must have coursework and/or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology, trauma-informed, and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and crisis intervention.
Normal residential treatment setting.
Close eye work for writing and computer work.
Staff will possibly including but not limited to: lift up to 50 Ibs. pushing, and pulling up to 150 Ibs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, participating in client activities.
This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running and walking.
Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management and organizational skills.
Staff will possess a Class "F" Driver's license.
Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
