Ability to perform polysom/MSLTs that meet CHRISTUS St. Vincent standards within 3 months
Basic clerical, office, computer and keyboarding skills

NM non registered Polysom tech license prior to hire
BLS certification required
AASM Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A-STEP) within 12 months of hire
A minimum of 1638 hours of clinical experience that includes on-site polysomnography duties performed as direct patient recording and/or scoring completed within two years of hire
Must complete the A-STEP requirements and then be eligible to take BRPT registry exam; exam must be taken and passed between year two and three of employment

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489
Education equivalence evaluated by an acceptable credentialing agency deemed equivalent to a US Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, which must include a clinical rotation through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S. or with an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years
Must possess Certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
