Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience as a manufacturing technician, field technician, or prior military skills;
2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of formal education, 6+ years of relevant experience.
4+ years' experience as repair technician or field technician . May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.
4+ years' experience as a Repair Technician for a defense contractor specializing in high performance stabilized imaging and has at least 4 years' experience as an electro-mechanical technician on products that are similar in complexity, prior experience servicing systems in the field and in the factory.
3+ years' experience troubleshooting system faults to the line replaceable unit level.
2+ years' experience with electronic and mechanical test equipment is also required.
4+ years' experience with MS Office applications including Word and Excel is required as well as with specialized software test programs.
4+ years' experience communicating clearly (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical customers (internal/external) on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to reach an understanding/agreement.
Must be U.S. Citizen.
Clearance: Must Be Able to Obtain and Maintain a DoD Security Clearance Which Requires U.S. Citizenship
This position will require the ability to travel domestically.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Lifting 50 pounds occasionally and reaching for items on shelves
Considerable time standing, bending, twisting, bending, and kneeling while building a variety of assemblies.
Follow ESD, FOD and Laser Safety procedures
Perform post-maintenance on tests per procedure guidelines
