NACE Inspector and/or SSPC NBPI required.
Formal or informal on-the-job training in the marine industry; familiarity with Navy and Society for Protective Coatings standards.
Must possess knowledge of Maritime paintings standards with particular emphasis in US Navy ship preservation criterion.
Word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database computer skills required.
Must be able to accomplish mathematical calculations associated with preservation readings and documentation
Must be able to discern and carry out complex written, oral, or diagramed instructions.
Must be able to take direction; interact professionally, knowledgeably and cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers and customer representatives.
Must be physically capable of working an 8-10 hour day requires average use of computer, some physical dexterity, and agility within confined and restricted spaces & tanks.

Valid Driver's License
Experience with and understanding of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors
Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair lift equipment and machinery
Welding skills and experience a plus
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
Conscientious of safety and detail
OSHA training or the willingness to be trained
Physical ability to lift 75 lbs. work in confined conditions, work at heights up to 30' in lifts, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stand on feet for long periods, use hand-held and power tools
Ability to read, write and speak English
