Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or underground utility installation.
Proven proficiency in operating large-scale excavators (JD 350 / Cat 336 or equivalent) and support equipment.
Demonstrated experience working safely in deep trench environments reaching depths of 20 feet.
Mastery of trench safety protocols, including the assembly and installation of trench shielding and shoring.
Expert-level skill in setting heavy structures such as manholes and storm vaults weighing up to 30,000 lbs.
Reliable personal transportation to travel to varying project sites across the DC Metro and Northern Virginia region.
Ability to climb into equipment using the three-point contact method and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Must be at least 21 years old.
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver s license with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to operate passenger vehicles and trucks with automatic and manual transmissions.
Must have ability to pass a physical examination on a bi-annual basis as required by Department of Transportation and/or Company policy.
Satisfactory pre-and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug and motor vehicle screening.
Must successfully complete required departmental training courses within 60 days of hire.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally and using assigned technology.
Ability to use hand tools to provide service.
Basic skills using email and GPS (Global Positioning Systems).
The ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds; bending, kneeling and balancing to inspect vehicles and change tires and pushing vehicles on occasion. Must have complete dexterity and fine/gross motor skills.
