Knowledge of insurance processes, managed care payors, and Medicare Secondary Payer guidelines
Understanding of EMTALA, HIPAA, CMS, JCAHO, and other regulatory standards
Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding and medical terminology preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and care teams
Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
Ability to resolve issues independently and escalate appropriately when needed
Experience using EMR/EHR systems and electronic work tools for documentation and verification
