Two years related experience
Two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology
Strong mechanical and electrical abilities, manufacturing experience and understanding of safety and environmental practices
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Basic knowledge in AC and DC motor drive controls
Experience with PLC controls
Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment
Machine tool experience including major upgrades, revisions and installations both mechanically and with control systems
Experience with PLC Controls (Siemens SIMOTION, Siemens Step 7, Allen Bradley Studio 5000)
Experience with gas combustion systems, set up, tuning and periodic certification
Testing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining machine tools including CNC controls, PLC hardware and software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Performing adjustments, alignments and calibrations on equipment
Installing and upgrading new and current equipment to adhere to LEAN Principles
Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are performed on a regular basis
