Must meet VLI welding tests/requirements
Must be able to pass a standard AWS test in the horizontal (2G) for 3/8 and vertical (3G), for structural steel in the size of 3/8
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or minimum 1 years experience is preferred
Position requires the physical capability to perform welding work, moderate to heavy lifting
Must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking
Should be able to properly lift moderate and heavy steel parts, equipment, and supplies on a routine basis
Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor
This position will be working primarily outdoors and in an open shop in all types of weather
This position is exposed to heavy amounts of potentially hazardous dust and fumes requiring the use of safety glasses and protective clothing is required
Noise level in the work environment is usually high and may require hearing protection
Usually eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with occasional Saturday and Sunday work, as well as additional early and/or late workdays to accommodate special business circumstances
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required
