Basic understanding of the necessary skills required to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a manufacturing facility
Good communication skills
Completion of the entire academic program (all courses and associate activities); b) Satisfactory completion of all work and other program evaluations; and c) Satisfactory completion of all the Manufacturing Core Exercises (Safety Culture, 5S, TPS-M, Problem Solving, Maintenance Reliability). Earn at least a 'C' in each course of the AMT Program
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Demonstrate professional behavior always for both school and work
Be college ready
Successfully complete the Texas FAME AMT theory curriculum and complete all courses (with a 'C' or above)
Meet the attendance requirements set for both school and work
Must successfully complete a background, drug, and medical screening.
Proficient critical thinking skills
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Be accepted into the Texas FAME AMT program for Fall 2026 Semester
Working knowledge of the proper use of safety equipment
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
