Adheres to WMC's quality management system
Directs and coordinates the activities of production operators
1-3 Years of experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (Required)
Maintains open lines of communication within and across shifts and holds direct reports accountable to WMC processes and procedures
Along with management, maintains accountability for direct reports including Corrective Actions, Performance Improvement Plan, and adherence to policies and procedures
Publishes the Production Shift Report to be reported to WMC Management team
Second Shift: Monday - Friday 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
Proficient with MS Office, Quality Systems, and data base management
Ability to use, or gain, knowledge in Plastics Extrusion
Integrity: Job requires being honest and ethical
Education and/or Experience
Inspects materials, products, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions and ensure quality standards are being met
Safety Requirements: Understand and follow all WMC Health & Safety Practices. Report all injuries and unsafe work conditions. Attend mandatory safety training and request additional training as needed
Maintains open lines of communication with direct reports, other shifts, and members of management
Production Oriented: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Essential Functions
Attention to Detail: Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
Uses ERP system to transfer materials and disposition them to work performed on your respective shift
Possess soft skills for coaching and conflict resolution
3-5 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of basic arithmetic
Manages Extrusion Line Operations and workflow. Drives Continuous Improvement, 5s, operator training, quality, and process documentation.
Monitors and reports on Production KPI's
Basic mechanical skills, knowledge of machines and tools
1-3 Years of experience in managing a staff
Leadership: Job requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
Dependability: Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
Oversees onboarding of new hire training and delivers 90-day performance evaluation
High school diploma or GED mandatory
