4 weeks of orientation, minimally, up to 7 weeks, based on previous experience
Orientation is completed Monday-Friday with a dedicated preceptor
First Five Rapid Response Basics online training required within 30 days of hire into position and must be maintained annually
For units/departments other than UAB Hospital, certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment
