High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
3–5 years of experience in production leadership (Lead or Supervisor level) in a manufacturing environment
Must be capable of holding US Security Clearance
Must be able to supervise daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery objectives
Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and production software
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S/6S, Kaizen, takt time, flow optimization, waste reduction)
Ability to interpret production metrics and implement corrective actions
Understanding of ISO 9001, quality inspection checkpoints, and nonconformance handling
Strong ability to enforce safety rules, lead safety talks, and maintain compliant work environments
Proven experience executing production schedules and improving operational efficiency
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Duties/Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management – Supervise production employees, assign tasks, manage daily staffing, and communicate performance expectations
Duties/Responsibilities: Production Execution – Ensure the execution of production schedules to meet on-time delivery commitments
Duties/Responsibilities: Quality & Process Compliance – Maintain and promote alignment with the company's Quality Policy
Duties/Responsibilities: Safety & 6S – Enforce plant safety rules and ensure consistent use of PPE and safe operating practices
Duties/Responsibilities: Continuous Improvement – Identify improvement opportunities in productivity, workflow, ergonomics, and equipment utilization
Duties/Responsibilities: Administrative Tasks – Maintain accurate labor reporting, production output data, downtime logs, and shift KPIs
Must reside within Des Plaines, IL or be eligible to work on site at Amphenol EEC location if required
