One year of recent experience as an RN, including a minimum of six months in a hospice setting as an RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment

Must be comfortable with blood and mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; this includes successful completion of the USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or a nationally commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
