High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a histopathology laboratory preferred.
Experience working in a regulated clinical, diagnostic, or research laboratory environment preferred.
HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification preferred.
Candidates eligible to obtain HT or HTL certification are encouraged to apply.
Histology laboratory techniques and tissue preparation
Tissue embedding, microtomy, staining, and slide preparation
Specimen accessioning and labeling
Laboratory equipment operation and maintenance
Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, laboratory quality systems, and safety practices
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to train and support other laboratory personnel
Onsite accredited CAP/CLIA laboratory environment
Requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Work involves standing for extended periods and handling biological specimens
