Accountant independently performs financial accounting functions and related control activities for assigned products and processes to ensure conformance with statutory accounting standards
Ensures the accuracy of the accounting generated by numerous systems as well as any manual accounting
Will research and resolve reconciliation issues, imbalances, and open suspense items
Accountant will participate in monthly close processes and the processing of journal entries, reconciliations, and other analyses
Accountant will also assist in a large-scale corporate project, which will require the creation of new accounts, reports, and processes
This will also require testing of system changes and its impact on accounting
The candidate has to be technology savvy and know how to work with: Excel
Ability to maintain and manipulate a worksheet accurately
