Assembler I - 1st Shift

High School Diploma or Equivalent
1+ years of manufacturing assembly experience
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Ability to perform basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations on components and subassemblies using fixtures, screwdrivers, etc.
Proficient use and familiarity with hand tools.
Will require basic mechanical skills.
Ability to read, and follow assembly instructions, including visual aids and drawings.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong skills navigating computer screen, folder paths, and Microsoft Excel
Export Statement: Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Previous experience in purchasing, buying, procurement, or supply chain support
Manufacturing, industrial, or production environment experience preferred
ERP/MRP system experience preferred; SAP experience is a plus
Strong Excel, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: ~$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Temporary
Assignment Length: ~2-3 months to start
Location: Syracuse, NY
Process purchase orders for materials, components, supplies, and services
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, order status, and delivery updates
Follow up on late orders, shortages, discrepancies, and other purchasing-related issues
Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP/MRP systems and support the purchasing team as needed
