Experience with or programming of CNC water jet and plasma cutting systems preferred but not required
Experience using/manual/semi-automated/automated machines such as CNC mills or lathes is a plus
Read and interpret naval blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Exposure to high-temperature, water jet, plasma systems, and hazardous materials safety awareness
High school graduate, or GED preferred
Ability to load and unload materials using forklifts or other material-handling equipment
Forklift operation experience
Power tools & shop equipment safety
Proficiency in CAD or other 2D & 3D drawing software
Stand for long periods, lift materials up to 50 lbs
Ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures)
Safety protocols and PPE usage
Mathematical abilities including measurements, conversions, and geometric calculations
Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
Blueprint reading and interpretation for equipment setup
