Has nominal aluminum welding experience or passed the AIDT welding course.

Has the ability to weld to a certain standard instructed by his/her supervisor based on the projects welding requirements.
Has minimum weld deficiencies that require rework.
Has the ability to repair any weld deficiencies in a timely matter.
Complies to the companies welding, safety, and quality standards.
Every skill set from Welder Level 2
Proficient in Pulse aluminum GMAW and or GTAW
Can weld in accordance with given weld schedule depicted on blueprints with little to no supervision required.
Can pass the certified welder test based on ABS and CWI standards from FMS.
Must be able to perform basic maintenance and repairs on the welding machines required to perform his/her job.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
Must be able to change your own shielding gas bottle required for welding.
Has less than one year of experience in the aluminum fabricating field.
Every skill set from Fitter Level 3
Has the ability to work from a blueprint on most standard fabricating tasks with occasional supervision from either a foreman or senior fabricator.
Has more than a year of experience in the aluminum fabricating field.
Every skill set from Fitter Level 2
Has the ability to work from a blueprint on all fabricating task, including complicated hull designs and components without any supervision from a foreman or senior fabricator.
Must be able to change your shielding gas bottle required for stitch welding.
