High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); a minimum 2 years experience is preferred but skill, technical knowledge, discipline, communication, and organizational ability will be the deciding factors.
Must be trained in the proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. Must know and follow requirements for the proper storage and allocation of supplies and material. Must be trained to meet company safety requirements.
This position will be working primarily outdoors and in an open shop in all types of weather. This position is exposed to heavy amounts of potentially hazardous dust and fumes requiring the use of safety glasses and protective clothing is required.
Noise level in the work environment is often quite high, which may often require hearing protection.
Usually eight (8) hour workdays (5) days per week are required. Occasional Saturday and Sunday work, or overtime, may be required to accommodate special business circumstances.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
