U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to receive government clearance is required.
Documented training and/or experience gained in positions and activities equivalent to those of levels I and II prior to establishment at Pegasus Steel.
Previous training and certifications in VT and MT inspection methods meeting the minimum requirments of ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
High school graduate with three (3) years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities.
One (1) year satisfactory performance as a Level I Inspector in the discipline or certification, or
Shall have sufficient education, training, and experience to ensure understanding of the principles and procedures of those NDT methods in which they are being considered for certification.
Working knowledge of metal fabrication and construction techniques.
Candidate must be knowledgeable with applicable industry standards specifications and procedures.
Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions, information gathered from meters, dials or calibrated scales and visual display units. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS: 50 pounds w/ assist
PUSHING/PULLING REQUIREMENTS: 50 pounds
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Hard hat, in required areas, safety shoes and safety glasses
Shall have a practical knowledge of all production processes.
Shall be qualified to establish techniques and procedures; interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designating the particular NDT methods, techniques, and procedures to be used.
Candidate must have the ability to identify colors and make fine visual discrimination; ability to make fine judgment of texture and the ability to remember verbal and written instructions over a period of a few minutes to several days.
