High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with SmartScope or similar multi-sensor measurement systems is required.
Technical certification or training in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Knowledge of material traceability and documentation requirements in aerospace (e.g., CoCs, FAIRs).
Ability to use a computer with Microsoft Office, Teams, Visual, Oracle, etc…
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25lbs, following safety guidelines.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while performing inspections.
Inspect electronic and soldered assemblies according to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards, ensuring compliance with workmanship and quality criteria (if qualified).
Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records, including measurements, observations, and non-conformance findings.
Input data into quality management systems (QMS) and ensure all records comply with company policies and applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Prepare detailed inspection reports and contribute to internal and external audits as needed.
