Must commit to working safely and adhere to Company safety rules including wearing a hardhat, safety toe footwear, and protective eye wear, and Proper Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must have Control Board Operator experience in combined cycle, coal, or simple cycle power plant with a completed control operator/specialist apprenticeship (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a large, combined cycle power/coal plant (or equivalent)
Candidates will be required to pass a written and practical test prior to selection
Knowledge of equipment operation such as pumps, control valves, motor controls with integrated power plant operations experience and is able to demonstrate general control operator knowledge through testing and/or interview
Successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements, which include a drug screening test and a general security clearance
