High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
Employee is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, crouch, bend, walk and routinely lift and/or move up to (50) pounds.)
Should be able to properly lift moderate and heavy steel parts, equipment, and supplies on a routine basis.
Typical lifting requirements will not exceed fifty (50) pounds.
The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking.
The Mechanical Assembler I must be trained in the proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Must know and follow requirements for the proper storage and allocation of supplies and material.
Must also be trained in company safety requirements.
Usually eight (8) hour workdays (5) days per week are required.
Occasional Saturday and Sunday work, or overtime, may be required to accommodate special business circumstances.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.

Perform assigned duties under the direction of supervisors or assigned technicians
Ability to handle material, abrasive metal cleaning, sweeping, washing, and provide general assistance to welders, fitters, machine operators, painters, sandblasters, and mechanics
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
Use and maintain safety equipment as required
Clean welds and base metal as necessary
Report equipment and machinery problems promptly to the Maintenance Department and stop operations if safety is compromised
Ensure welding machines, supplies, equipment, and work areas are kept neat and orderly
Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient and effective work environment
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Company standards (ISO9000) policies and report deviations to area manager/supervisor
Pay details: $16.00 per hour
