Operates and maintains forklift truck to ensure safe and efficient operation
Transports material in between departments
Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
Maintain a steady flow of material through the yard
Oversee the condition of the entire yard, all roads and pipe racks
Communicate and coordinate with previous shift driver and relief driver
Proper and thorough turn-over
Know the Beaumont yard layout
Know proper marking and identification of pipe
Return tools to proper places at the end of each shift
Perform preoperational checks on forklifts and report all service concerns
Know and adhere to proper moving and handling procedures of XL Systems products
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the grounds through regular inspection and maintenance
Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machinery
Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required
Read gauges, dials, and other indicators, adjusting them is necessary
Troubleshoot heavy equipment; ability to detect and fix operating problems
Ability to lead a team in the absence of Material Control Manager
Perform all tasks and duties in harmony with other employees to create and maintain a safe working environment
Ensure compliance of the company's QHSE policies, and corporate code and overall company's objectives
Other duties as defined by Facility Material Manager

Must own tools applicable to position
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Field Technicians may be required to be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
