The Controls Technical must identify, troubleshoot and repair problems in electrical and controls wiring and programming that occur in production equipment and systems and able to work with voltages up to 600V, three-phase & single-phase A/C circuits, transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
The ability to perform work safely, meet the needs of Operations, execute the maintenance program and comply with all safety codes such as the National Electrical Code is paramount.
The Controls Technician must ensure plant electrical and control systems are installed, maintained and modified in accordance with local, state and national electrical safety codes.
Proficiency in controls equipment, i.e. Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Industrial Networks required.
Basic Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge required.
Must be able to use a computer and associated PLC software programs
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, etc.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations
Must be able to work flexible shift schedules up to 12-hour shifts as determined by business need
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of regulations, procedures, and policies related to records maintenance and documentation.
