NPD - Nursing Professional Development Certification in Nursing Professional Development or Nursing Education within 1 Year preferred
Previous leadership and supervisory experience required
The work requires identifying and resolving complex problems such as developing innovative solutions based on extensive cross-functional knowledge of the various MedStar Health entities
Work assignments are generally received in the form of broad goals for area(s) of responsibility and require considerable judgment regarding the interpretation of policies development of procedures and selection of appropriate courses of action
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment
5-7 years Progressively more responsible roles in nursing required
Doctoral degree Doctorate terminal degree preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of management internal departments and external agencies
Master's degree Nursing or Nursing Education from a nationally accredited nursing program required
Working knowledge of various computer software applications
Experience in nursing education or professional development required
