Must be proficient in SMAW< OSS Steel to HY-100 < Stainless - FCAW - GMAW
Minimum 8 years' experience in a fabrication shop and 2 years in Leadership role.
Comprehensive structural blueprint interpretation is required with specific experience in fitting and welding.
Comprehensive understating of all machinery, hot work requirements and stringent safety protocols relative to prefabrication efforts.
Clearance up to secret level may be required.
Be able to access all US Military facilities, Homeland Security facilities and private shipyards
Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds
Operating with heavy metal and machinery at times in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment.
Performing tasks in confined spaces
Our work is primarily onboard naval vessels that may include variables of physical activity, i.e. stooping, climbing, walking, etc.
In performing these duties, you may be required to work outdoors. You will experience temperature variations, extremely loud noises and other physical hazards.
