One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Researching readiness shortfalls, such as non-mission capable fleet equipment, to source critical repair materials; 2) Utilizing automated logistics information systems (LIS), such as GCSS-Army, Power Business Intelligence, Vantage and DLA, to evaluate fleet readiness data; 3) Monitoring combat-readiness metrics for supported activities and units, such as fleet assets for armored division and/or cavalry regiments; and 4) Resolving complex fleet logistics issues (i.e.: specific vehicle needs based on individual vehicle serial numbers.)
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This is a deployable Department of the Army Civilian position.
Incumbent must sign DD Form 2365 and maintain medical, security, passport, performance, honorable conduct and overall fitness suitable for assignment to an austere and stressful combat environment.
This position will not be authorized to be filled by a member subject to recall to active duty as a member of the Armed Forces due to the necessity to perform duties without interruption.
Position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) of any length including 6 months in duration or longer in CONUS or OCONUS in austere locations.
This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete on-line computer based training and residential deployment training, as applicable.
Applicant must be able to pass background investigation and suitability determination as determined by a completed background investigation.
