A minimum of three to five (3–5) years of progressive experience with small equipment and appliance repair, residential and commercial property maintenance, or a combination of schooling and field experience
A valid, unrestricted Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license with an acceptable, insurable driving record
Maintains appropriate inventory, tools, and equipment on utility vehicles in good working order; requests additional materials on an as-needed basis; ensures waste is kept to a minimum
Demonstrated proficiency in reading blueprints, building layouts, preferred
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across multiple trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural)
Ability to think critically and formulate structural repair plans independently without immediate managerial oversight
Ability to sustain heavy physical labor, including stooping, bending, reaching, climbing, crawling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods
Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts at rooftop heights for sustained periods
Ability to work full shifts outdoors, exposed to extreme weather conditions and temperature variances
Ability to regularly and safely lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability and flexibility to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, including working odd hours on nights, weekends, and holidays
