The Defense Quality Inspector is expected to earn a certification from our Customer in the Military Shipbuilding for the US Navy, through their certification program, in order for the inspector to process Sub safe/Nuclear contracts (Level One/ CM1).
This is a 14-to-18-month internal training process through hands on experience and oversight, with feedback.
The role is on-site at our Roanoke, VA location.
BS degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Technology, Business, Management or related discipline; or related AS degree with 2 years related experience or commensurate combination of education and experience
Requires lifting ability of up to 65 pounds and ability to sit at a worktable.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus (computer screen).
