High standards for lab discipline: safety culture, tool control, documentation, consistent procedures
Strong written communication: can produce clean lesson plans, lab sheets, exams, and student performance notes
Teaching / training experience is ideal (trade school, apprenticeship, manufacturer training, union training, military technical instructor, or structured internal company training)
5-10+ years of HVAC field experience (installation and troubleshooting) with strong diagnostic capability
Comfortable with common software tools (Apple or Windows environments) and learning platforms
Demonstrated ability to teach both classroom concepts and hands-on labs with clear outcomes and evaluations
