Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
5+ years of safety management experience in petroleum, propane, transportation, manufacturing, or similar high-hazard industries
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of propane operations, UST compliance, CETP training programs, daily operational safety practices, and incident investigation procedures is required
Experience with hazmat, fuel distribution, and tanker operations strongly preferred
Experience with hazard materials handling and regulatory compliance across OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, EPA, and NFPA environments
Knowledge of regulatory standards related to propane storage, handling, and distribution (including NFPA standards such as NFPA 58), Underground Storage Tanks regulations, and CETP requirements
Certification or training related to safety (CSP, CHMM, OSHA 30, CETP certification or trainer qualification) is preferred
CDL knowledge or endorsement awareness is a plus
Ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and implement corrective actions
Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with hazmat regulations for packaging, labeling, shipping, and documentation
Ability to lead driver safety programs including Hours of Service (HOS), vehicle inspections, and driver qualification files
Ability to develop safety protocols for welding, fabrication, pressure vessel work, and tanker repair activities
Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff in CETP-related training and certification tracking
Ability to manage audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and access equipment
Ability to wear PPE including respirators, flame-resistant clothing, and safety gear
Ability to respond to emergencies under potentially hazardous conditions
