Minimum of 3 years of commercial, institutional, industrial, or healthcare painting experience
Experience applying paints, coatings, stains, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Experience preparing and repairing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting
Ability to repair drywall, plaster, wood, and other paintable surfaces
Experience removing wallpaper and preparing surfaces for refinishing
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and at elevated heights
Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding work for extended periods, including standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
Ability to work in hot environments and around dust, chemicals, paint fumes, and other occupational hazards
Ability to wear an OSHA-approved respirator when required and successfully complete required fit testing
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, eye protection, hearing protection, and approved face protection
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation
Background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred
