7-10 years of proven experience in mechanical design within the elevator industry preferred
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Strong mechanical design capability with experience in fluid power, hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems, or similar products
Ability to independently design or substantially improve hydraulic components, especially valves
Experience using 3D CAD. SolidWorks is preferred, but experience with other major 3D CAD platforms is acceptable
Simulation experience required; specific tool is less important than demonstrated ability to use analysis to guide engineering decisions
Ability to write and execute engineering test plans
Strong design-for-manufacturability mindset
Ability to read, interpret, and implement technical requirements from codes, standards, specifications, or customer requirements
Working knowledge of engineering change control, revision control, and structured engineering release processes
Ability to support manufacturing and quality issues in a hands-on production environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and leadership teams
Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools for stress, thermal, and tolerance analysis
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Experience with project management, from concept to completion, is a plus
