Minimum of 12 years previous related experience
Minimum 12 years of experience with 3D modeling using SolidWorks CAD system is required
Must be familiar with ANSI Y14.5 standard for dimensioning and geometric tolerance
Proficient in metal and plastic design, pneumatics, thermal management, material selection and design verification testing
Researches and analyzes data such as marketing specifications
Designs products or systems as related to the PCBA manufacturing and rework industry this includes interfacing with machines, hardware and software
Create detailed design of mechanical parts and assemblies
Create fabrication drawings for release to manufacturing
Assists drafters/designers in developing the structural design of products using Solidworks computer assisted design software

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electromechanical packaging design including experience with rugged, waterproof electronic products; 3 years of relevant experience in electromechanical packaging design including experience with rugged, waterproof electronic products with an advanced STEM degree
Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
Experience designing products with DoD MIL-STD requirements (i.e. MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461, etc.).
Knowledge of product design for harsh environments, including material selection for maritime applications.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) or equivalent CAD tools, with the ability to generate and interpret 2D and 3D drawings.
Proficiency in fundamentals of electrical engineering and the ability to incorporate electrical wiring and harness design.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
