MACHINIST - HORIZONTAL BORING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Location: Downey, CA
On-site Monday - Friday
6:00AM - 2:30PM
$30-35/HOUR
Experience with horizontal boring machines
Emphasis on pumps or rotating equipment in a shop environment
Setting up and operating various machines used for milling and turning, and using the tools required for operating manual machines.
Reading and interpreting work orders to select the proper work center and identify required tooling to operate.
Obtaining and installing proper tooling, such as jaws, chucks, fixtures, and cutting tools.
Using various gauges and precision instruments to ensure quality is maintained and tolerances are met.
Cleaning and removing burrs after the operation is completed.
Training other employees on a variety of machine tools and operations.
Returning tooling and reporting any difficulties with tooling or material.
Maintain and practice safe machining tool usage, such as lathe guards, chuck guards, and PPE.
