HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus
Machinist degree preferred
3+ years industry experience
Meets all Machinist I & II qualifications and requirements
Proficient in Machinist I & II responsibilities
Minimum of 3 years as a certified Machinist
Experienced trainer of Level I & II Machinists
Proficient in advanced machining techniques and standards
Working knowledge and proficiency of machining metallurgy
Knowledge and understanding of material selection
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Understanding of shop math and machining costs
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)
Ability to manage people
Excellent oral and written communication skills
"can do" attitude and excellent customer service skills
Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines
Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
Lifting: up to 50 pounds
Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
Communicating with others to exchange information
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Operating machinery and/or power tools
