Successful completion of Permit Required Confined Space Entry training is needed
Must select proper rods or wires to perform the welding job
Must test all hot oil piping for leaks and repairs as necessary. Repairs would be welding related repairs
Inspect welds for quality and proper weld
Must maintain welding machines by keeping them clean and changing liners in the welding guns
Welders are responsible for the layout of plant equipment for welding to ensure proper welding
Must be able to safely perform gang-welding techniques
Weld metal components with welding equipment to fit and join, fabricate, and/or repair heavy and large mechanical products per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule
