The Senior Manual Machinist will set up and operate turret or engine lathes, also a strong preference in manual mill machines
You will work to exact tolerances, determine speeds and feeds and recognize and report corrections in blueprint errors
In this role, you must be able to cut internal and external threads
Reads process sheets, blueprints and sketches of part to determine mashing to be done, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements
Mounts work piece between centers, in chuck or to faceplate
Observes numerical displays to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speeds of machining cuts
Inspect run pieces and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications
Uses measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and ccm for conformance to specifications
Machines bronze, stainless, plastics and other materials
