Certified Medical Assistant II
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Required: 2 years' work experience as Certified Medical Assistant.
Required: Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required from one of the following: American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Allied Health - RMA(AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (RMA), National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).

Participation in a clinical orientation, competency evaluation, and ability to pass a clinical skills assessment and medication administration test within ninety (90) days of hire, and within 3 attempts.
Medical Assistant Clinical Ladder Requires ongoing demonstration of competency validation to remain in the Medical Assistant II Certified role. Refer to the Clinical Ladder Assessment for a list to select five items annually. These are documented throughout the year as part of annual evaluation.
