Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
8+ years of experience with refining, upstream, or petrochemical domain, with at least 3+ years of design experience in relief systems. Expert or specialized knowledge of relief valve calculations and relief systems is mandatory.
Working knowledge of pressure relief device sizing, selection, and disposal systems; experience with relief system calculations
Good working knowledge of process simulation tools such as PetroSim, HYSYS, PRO-II, or Aspen Flare Analyzer, AFT Fathom, etc.
Understanding of core process engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs;, heat and material balances, hydraulic calculations, overpressure scenarios).
Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., API 520/521, API RP 576) with willingness to deepen expertise.
Experience with front-end project development and equipment design.
Strong technical communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
