Understand how material moves when machined and be able to compensate for it with sound machining practices to make parts as specified on prints.
Perform close tolerance quality work in highly difficult and diversified conditions.
Ability to use and properly maintain manual measuring equipment to maintain tolerances listed.
Have intermediate knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Maintain machining equipment and service it in accordance to the appropriate service manual.
Maintain house-keeping and organization efforts.
Assist Engineering in the design and materials specifications to improve the efficiency and productivity of the parts being produced.
Must be willing and able to work with metal chips, oil, coolant, oil mist and noises.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs to load machines.
Must be willing and able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift for long period of time.
Must be willing and able to wear all PPE requirements and abide by all dress codes including but not limited to: safety vest, ear plugs, safety toed shoes (composite or steel), cut resistant gloves, and safety ANSI rated glasses.
