Journeyman HVAC I
Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of a Bonafide 4 year/8000 hour apprenticeship program.
If not, must have 8 years of verifiable experience.
If the 8 years is from a UAW facility, you must have a letter from the facility on company letterhead stating the dates of service and classification/s of the work performed during the years you are submitting as your experience. This letter must then be signed by a company representative with their name and title printed and it must also be signed by the local union bargaining chair or steward at the facility with their name and title printed.
If the 8 years experience is not at the UAW facility, the additional years of verifiable experience must be on company letterhead, signed by the company representative and then taken to be notarized.
Valid State of Michigan HVAC license OR recognized Journeyman Card
Minimum of 8 years of verifiable HVAC experience in commercial or industrial environments
Strong working knowledge of HVAC mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a skilled trades team
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
