Class A CDL required
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, along with a valid passport, are required. Candidates can apply for a passport within 30 days of hire but must obtain it within 120 days.
Must apply for Doubles endorsement and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 30 days of hire and must obtain Doubles endorsement and TWIC within 90 days of hire- will be reimbursed upon receipt
TSA certification required for airport deliveries
Must be willing to perform yard switching duties in a yard tractor
Adaptability: Must be comfortable working with different types of freight and customers
Flexibility: Occasionally assist with other Averitt operations to keep you on the road and working
Must live within a 75-mile radius
Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
Must be 21 years of age or older
Drivers must have Class A CDL

No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
